![]() ![]() Every year since 2003, Sony inducts a car into its flagship driving game, Gran Turismo. It’s pretty smart if you think about it: it ties the awarding manufacturer with the car, which results in a huge marketing benefit.īut a seemingly unlikely vendor cruises the aisles. Vendors scout the show floor looking for vehicles worthy of praise. No car show would be complete without awards, of course. In fact, the organization recently started inviting vehicles to show in dedicated areas. Naturally, evolution follows and SEMA-car entries grow more intense with each passing year. In 2013, Dynomax invited Chris Holstrom Concepts (CHC) to display one of its customer’s cars in its booth. It makes sense for a vendor to display parts and services on their native homes, on vehicles, and they either build or invite cars to fill their booths. ![]() Factory documentation includes the original Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual, and the original selling dealer license plate frames.It’s a trade event at heart but the SEMA show has been a bit of car show since its birth. The sale includes extensive records included when the seller acquired the car, as well as the original replaced parts including the factory manual, carburetor, and fuel gauges (carrying a proper date code). In addition to items mentioned previously, within the previous 1K miles the car received tuning including timing and carburetor adjustments. The 283ci V8 engine is original to the car and has been upgraded with several performance modifications. These include a custom grind camshaft, pushrods, and lifters, Edelbrock 600cfm four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold Hedman Elite headers, Pertronics ignition, MSD plug wires and dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. The Saginaw 4-speed manual transmission is original to the car as well and has been rebuilt with a new Hayes clutch, throw-out bearing, axle seals and linkage in the last 5k miles. The factory 10-bolt rear end is also original and features a 3.08:1 gear ratio. The five-digit odometer reads 94k miles, 1K of which have been added since the owner and long-time car collector acquired the Nova in 2020. A Shiftworks Sport Gauge conversion was installed, allowing for supplementary gauges including fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Instrumentation includes a sweeping 120-mph speedometer along with a NOS “ribbon-style” tachometer mounted to the steering column. The suspension has been serviced as well with the installation of Moog ball joints, Bilstein gas-filled shocks, Calvert traction bars, and Church Boys multi-leaf rear springs. A center console between the front seats houses the polished shifter for the 4-speed manual transmission, surrounded by a silver trim plate with “SS” badging. The dash has been fully restored with new trim panels as well as controls for the heater and an original style radio, though the seller notes the radio works intermittently. The interior features black vinyl bucket seats (780) with the signature SS-trim “skunk stripes” down the middle, with matching black carpeting, door panels, dash, and headliner. The factory drum brakes have been upgraded to power-assisted discs in the front, while the rear retains the original style drums. All exterior sheet metal is rust-free, the seller notes a small surface discoloration in the trunk floor.īF Goodrich Silvertown redline radial tires, mounted on factory style 14” Rallye wheels at all four corners, carry a 38/13 date code. The body panel gaps were a focal point during the refinish and appear uniform and tight. New old stock (NOS) items such as the grille, SS emblem, and chrome locking gas cap were sourced to replace aging pieces. The VIN number, trim tag, and engine decodes as follows, supporting the cars originality: Documented with the original Protect-O-Plate, this Nova SS is now offered for sale on a clean California title in the seller’s name. It retains its original engine, transmission, and rear end and features numerous performance upgrades with the original parts included in the sale. Sold new in California, the car has remained in the state its entire life being acquired by the seller in 2020. This 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS is finished in Butternut Yellow (Y) over a black vinyl interior (780) and is powered by a matching number 283ci V8 and factory correct 4-speed manual transmission. ![]()
